Standing Up To Cancer: Thanks for Representing Us So Well

We cannot say thank you enough to those who give of themselves. That’s the case with the hundreds of Working Solutions agents who took part in the recent Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) fundraiser.

So right off, here’s a heartfelt thanks from me and everyone at our company.

About 400 of you, along with employees, answered more than 3,500 calls during the August 21st SU2C fundraiser. You took in $200,000 in donations from 7 p.m. till nearly midnight. At this year’s seven biennial televised special, more than $143.18 million dollars was pledged in all.

It’s Your Gift

What’s more, approximately 25% of you indicated that all or part of your earnings from the event would be donated to SU2C. That’s generosity on top of good deeds.

Such standout participation is a natural outgrowth of the empathy you show everyday in helping our clients’ customers. No better lifelines for the callers at SU2C.

As agents, you know how to put yourselves in others' shoes. It's your gift.

God Sustains Her

And that depth of caring came through time and again in your interactions that evening.

One caller told an agent that her cancer wasn’t in remission. “She said her belief in God alone sustains her. She was unable to make a donation. But wanted to thank everyone who is working, and who are donating.”

Such sharing encourages a greater understanding of those afflicted by this disease. As agents, you’re right there on the front lines, fighting the good fight. For all of us.
