4 Easy Tips to Maximize Your Lunch Break when Working from Home

Lunch breaks are something we all take for granted. When working from home, however, they become an important asset.

These breaks are much more than a simple resting period and a meal. If done right, they can energize you for the rest of the day, which can make a huge impact on your productivity.

So, if you want to make your work-at-home career much easier, then keep on reading this article. We will share a few tips on how you can use this time to completely recharge your batteries.

1. Do the Seven-minute Workout

You may think 15 minutes are too short to do any exercise. Well, how does seven minutes sound?

That is all the time you need to reap the same benefits as someone who is doing a long fitness session. The key to this type of training is to break these seven minutes into many 30-second sessions of intense workout.

Be sure to have a yoga mat ready and for seven minutes of your lunch break, you will do 30 seconds of sit-ups, push-ups and squats.

Make sure to alternate between them so you don’t overdo yourself. Quite soon, you’ll see how long these seven minutes will last, but they’re well worth it.

2. Eat the Right Food

If you intend to grab a quick snack during the lunch, why not take it a step further and grab a full-course meal?

Since you are working from home, there’s no need for fast-food. You can prepare your meal beforehand or even cook it on the spot.

A salad won’t take you more than a few minutes to make and it gives all the nutrients your body needs to stay fresh. If you want to power-up your brain as well, then consider grabbing a bite of dark chocolate or eat a few seeds.

Both are rich in antioxidants, which are natural stimulants that boost concentration.

3. Go Outside for a Bit

When you’re working from home, it’s easy to lose track of how time flies and you end up realizing you’ve spent most of that time indoors.

Besides, staring for a long time at the computer monitor puts a lot of strain on your eyes. So, what better way to lessen the pressure of work than by going outside for a few minutes?

Even something as a short walk can do wonders for your body. By walking around a few blocks, you can get rid of all that tension in your body.

Be sure, take a deep breath of fresh air and, while you’re at it, think of something not related to work.

4. Take a Power Nap

A power nap of no more than 10 to 15 minutes is all you need if you want to quickly revitalize yourself.

If you were working long and hard for quite some hours, you may feel burned out at some point. You can simply take a 15-minute break, in which you will sit back on the couch with your eyes closed.

If you were to fall asleep during that time, just be sure to set an alarm clock as a precaution.

With the advice from this article, you can be sure your lunch breaks will truly prepare you for the long run.

We bet you’d like to put these tips into practice. In that case, consider applying to WorkingSolutions to find remote jobs which are perfect for you!
