In the spirit of Women’s History Month, we want to celebrate women’s empowerment in the workplace. We believe every woman should have access to tools and resources to help her grow professionally and personally. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of five free personal and professional development resources for women.

Lean In

Founded by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Lean In is a global community committed to offering women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals. It provides a wealth of free educational materials aimed at empowering women in the workplace.

 

Coursera

This platform offers free and paid courses from top universities around the globe. Courses cover a multitude of topics, such as “The Science of Well-Being,” a course from Yale designed to help you increase happiness and build productive habits. While many courses are free, some may be paid or have paid features, like certificates for completion. Always check the details before signing up.

 

Codecademy

Whether you’re a seasoned tech professional or a newbie exploring the digital world, Codecademy offers free coding classes in 12 different programming languages. It’s a fantastic resource to upskill, reskill or simply dip your toes into the vast ocean of technology.

 

TED Talks

TED Talks are short, powerful and cover a myriad of topics. Start with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “We Should All Be Feminists” for an insightful perspective on gender equality.

 

Alison’s Personal Development Courses

Alison provides free online courses aimed at enhancing your quality of life. Their courses cover a broad range of topics including communication skills, problem-solving, stress management and more. These skills not only help in personal growth but can also significantly improve your professional performance.
